Deposit & Balance Payment Terms

A deposit of $200 USD per person is required to confirm all Ausangate Treks and Sky Lodge Domes bookings. For expeditions combined with Machu Picchu, the deposit covers official entrance and train bookings under your passport name and number.

The remaining balance must be paid upon your arrival in Cusco during the pre-trek orientation briefing (Cash in USD or Peruvian Soles, or by credit card with a 5% terminal merchant fee).

Flexibility & Cancellation Policy

If you cancel up to 30 days prior to your departure, your deposit (minus non-refundable official permits or train tickets already issued) can be transferred to a future travel date within 12 months.

We strongly recommend all travelers acquire comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, flight delays, and high-altitude emergency medical coverage up to 5,200m.

Essential Pre-Booking Checklist

  • Passport Validity: Must have at least 6 months validity from your travel date.
  • Student Discount: University students under 25 require an official valid university ID card.
  • Cusco Acclimatization: We recommend arriving in Cusco at least 2 days prior to trek start.
